St. Scholastica Academy

Transferring to St. Scholastica Academy

A student already enrolled in high school who is considering transferring to St. Scholastica Academy may arrange for a tour of the Academy with her family. Please contact Ms. Colleen Brewer, the Vice Principal, to indicate your interest in transferring or to schedule a tour. You may reach her at 773-764-5715 x 375, or at cbrewer@scholastica.us .

Students in other high schools who wish to transfer to St. Scholastica Academy are required to participate in the transfer process. This process is overseen by Ms. Brewer.

Step one in the process is to have the student’s current school fax a transcript of grades to Ms. Brewer. The Academy fax number is 773-764-0304.

Upon receipt of the transcript, Ms. Brewer will contact the parent/guardian of the student to discuss the transcript, and perhaps to schedule a transfer interview.

Step two in the process is participating in an interview with the Principal and Vice Principal, as well as with other faculty members as requested by the Vice Principal. The student and her parents/guardians are interviewed together and separately by each member of the interview team.

After the interview both the interview team and the family take some time to reflect on the experience. The Principal will contact the parents/guardians and communicate to them the decision of the transfer team.

Step three in the process is registration. If a transfer student is accepted, she and her family must return and formally register in the business office. All necessary materials for this registration will be provided during the interview process.

Upon arriving at St. Scholastica Academy, the transfer student will participate in ongoing orientation meetings to familiarize her with life at St. Scholastica Academy.
