National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) was established in 1921 and is the nation's premier organization for the recognition of outstanding high school students.

NHS honors those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.

Every fall, eligible juniors and seniors are nominated for membership in NHS. New members are selected through faculty evaluations, and the Induction Ceremony for is held in January at the beginning of the second semester.

In addition to serving in school leadership positions, NHS also undertakes service and charity projects during the year.

 NHS President for 2011-2011 is Hannah Cusick.

The Induction Ceremony is scheduled for January 24, 2012, at an afternoon all-school assembly. Parents and guests are invited to attend.

Honorees and guests enjoy a reception in the Student Lounge after the ceremony.
