St. Scholastica Academy's Mission and Academic Overview
As a Benedictine school rooted in a tradition of community and academic excellence, St. Scholastica Academy educates young women by attending to the development of the whole person through emphasis on critical thinking, moral responsibility and lifelong learning. The St. Scholastica Senior Academy will allow 26 young women who have been previously enrolled as juniors to complete their final year of high school education at the Academy. A number of these students were taking International Baccalaureate classes or were working on a full IB diploma during their junior year. The provision of the Senior Academy allows these students to complete their program as planned.
St. Scholastica Academy has been recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education and has been accredited by AdvancEd (North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools) since 1928
